Morgan Wallen faces charges of reckless endangerment on Broadway.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Morgan Wallen, a country music sensation, spent Sunday night in police custody after allegedly tossing a chair from the top of a bar on Broadway.

According to the arrest affidavit, the 30-year-old Wallen was spotted on the rooftop of Chief’s Bar around 10:45 p.m. on Sunday. Witnesses observed him grabbing a chair, hurling it over the roof, and reportedly laughing about the act. The bar's rooftop sits six stories above Broadway.

Two officers from the Metro Nashville Police Department were stationed below on Broadway and reported that the chair landed just three feet away from them, as per the affidavit. After speaking with bar staff, witnesses, and reviewing security footage, authorities confirmed Wallen’s alleged actions.

Wallen was taken into custody and booked shortly after 12:30 a.m. He faces three counts of felony reckless endangerment and one count of disorderly conduct, classified as a misdemeanor. After posting a bond of $15,250, he was released from Davidson County jail around 3:30 a.m.

Wallen’s attorney, Worrick Robinson, issued the following statement regarding the incident:

“At 10:53 p.m. on Sunday evening, Morgan Wallen was arrested in downtown Nashville for reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct. He is fully cooperating with authorities.”

Chief’s Bar, where the incident occurred, is owned by fellow country music star Eric Church and had recently celebrated its grand opening over the weekend.

Wallen is scheduled to appear in court on May 3, coinciding with Day 2 of his three-day performance series at Nissan Stadium.
